International Marketer, Bozoma Saint John says she is an astounding marketer because she always strives for excellence in whatever she does.
Speaking in an interview on Starr FM with Bola Ray, Bozoma said many people can’t help thinking about how she makes it happen; as in how she manages a variety of jobs and achieves success.
“The important thing to remember for anyone who is in any kind of field, it doesn’t matter what you do, your excellence at that work is what is important. So for me, oftentimes people will say ‘you have so many jobs in different industries.’ The Washington Post wrote an article about me two years ago saying I’ve nine jobs and six other industries. ‘How does she do it?’
“The thing is that for me it doesn’t matter if it is tech, if it is automotive, music, film I am an excellent marketer. So I can sell anything,” Bozoma stated.
“So if you are an excellent writer, you should be able to write in any industry. If you are an excellent chef you should be able to make any food. If you are an excellent hairstylist you should be able to use any hair type to do your styles.
“My point is to be excellent in your chosen field and then you can float in between companies and different industries with no problem,” Bozoma stated.
American businessperson Bozoma “Boz” Saint John, also known as née Arthur, is Netflix’s chief marketing officer (CMO). Already, she filled in as CMO at Endeavor, and chief brand officer (CBO) at Uber until June 2018.
Bozoma was also a marketing executive at Apple Music until June 2017, in the wake of joining the organization in its securing of Beats Music. From 2005 until 2014 she worked at PepsiCo, in the end filling in as the head of music and entertainment marketing.
In May 2021, she was named among the Top 50 Most Powerful Female Forerunners in Africa within the corporate and business circle by Leading Ladies Africa.
