Buff Bagwell’s Leg Is Gone — Wrestling World In Shock

Steve Stasiak, the owner of Book Pro Wrestlers, revealed the news on Friday morning in a Facebook post that wrestling legend Buff Bagwell had part of his right leg amputated on Thursday, July 17, 2025. The post stated that complications from a car accident five years ago led to the serious surgery, adding,

“The injuries from his 2020 accident never fully healed..He gave it everything he had to avoid this outcome — but that fight led him here”.

Stasiak included an image of Bagwell in a hospital bed, the 55-year-old wearing a gown and hooked up to wires. Although Bagwell appeared to be smiling in the photo, Stasiak told his followers that the situation has been very difficult for the former NWO member.

“I’ve known Buff a long time,” Stasiak said. “I’ve seen him in the spotlight, I’ve seen him behind the scenes, and I’ve seen him fight through things most people never even hear about. This one… this is hard. For him. For everyone who knows and loves him.”

Bagwell did discuss the surgery on his YouTube channel just hours before it took place, telling his fans and fiancée that it was “the conclusion of a five-year battle attempting to preserve my leg.”

Bagwell’s friends, family, and supporters were asked to pray for him by Stasiak.

“If you’re reading this, I just ask that you send a little love out into the world for Buff. No grand gestures. Just something real. A thought, a prayer, a moment.”
