Bulldog Slams Violence At Ablekuma North: “Mahama Didn’t Win For This”

Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog, has criticized the violent events that marred the recent Ablekuma North Constituency elections, saying such chaos does not reflect the values that former President John Mahama stands for.

Speaking on United Showbiz on UTV on Saturday, July 12, 2025, Bulldog stated:

“Ghana did not vote for Mahama to witness what went on at Ablekuma North. He is a fine gentleman and should not allow this to denigrate his image.”

His comments come in the wake of heightened political tensions and reports of electoral disturbances during the Ablekuma North polls. Bulldog called for restraint and accountability, urging the NDC leadership to act in ways that uphold Mahama’s legacy and reputation.

Tensions flared during the Ablekuma North Constituency elections on Friday, July 11, 2025, as violence broke out between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Eyewitnesses reported incidents of stone-pelting, physical altercations, and alleged use of voodoo tactics by some party loyalists to evade arrest or harm. The chaos disrupted voting in some polling stations and prompted the Ghana Police Service to deploy additional personnel to the area.
