The 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) officially wrapped up the event on Saturday May 7 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center in Accra, with all the fun, energy, dramatization from there, and more.
It was most certainly a memorable night, as Ghanaian music honoured Artistes, Producers, Sound engineers, and Songwriters who make the soundtrack eargasm to music fans.
Serwaa Amihere, Berla Mundi, James Gardener, Sika Osei, Giovanni Caleb were as expected, incredible red carpet and main moderators for the show, with big names flawlessly gracing the ceremony.
Performers (entertainers) for the night also gave a valiant effort, although some couple of artists didn’t 100 percent satisfy hopes. For several patrons of the night, Samini Dagaati, KiDi, Wendy Shay, legends Tinny and Obrafour, Stonebwoy, S3fa, Camidoh, King Promise, Mayorkun and a couple of others were remarkable in front of the audience present.
Singer Mr. Drew also stood out as truly newsworthy with his super-awesome show, with his dance skills with legend dancers and singers FBS.
Best New Artist Black Sherif’s performance was with an alternate style. KiDi additionally pulled a surprise with some delightful enchanting female dancers. Yes, a few fans thought the dancers were excessively sexual, others additionally think their show was O.K.
For the most part, the awards night was a massive success and a very beautiful one, with an ideal organization by Charter House, particularly. KiDi who passed up the sought after Award ‘Artist Of The Year’ last year, finally won the Artist of The Year for 2022.
Apart from KiDi winning the ‘Artist of the Year’, he also brought back home four different awards on the night including the ‘Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year’. Kofi Kinnata would have also made it the Five Time winner of the ‘Songwriter Of The Year’ award with a statement, but unluckily for him, Fameye won that award.
