Call For Entries For This Year’s Ghana Club 100 Awards

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced for the information of the Ghanaian Corporate Community for the entry of this year’s Ghana Club 100 awards. As the 20th Edition of the Awards, it will fall off on Friday, 27th October 2023 under the theme:

“Accelerating Economic Growth: Amplifying Ghana’s Global Market Footprint through AFCFTA”.

This year’s edition is the Inaugural Ghana Investment and Trade Week (which will feature a series of exhibitions and an investment summit) being organized in collaboration with the MIE Group, Dubai – organizers of the China Trade Week. All events will take place at the Grande arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

The Ghana Club 100 seeks to develop an open information culture within the Ghanaian corporate sector, provide incentives for improved performance, develop uniform criteria for evaluating this performance, and to lay out an annual and current analysis of the corporate sector.

Eligibility Criteria:

All entrants must be limited liability companies.

However, for companies with Government interest, Government ownership should be less than 50%, except if the company is listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. All entrants must have a positive cumulative equity balance/cumulative net operating profit for the latest three-year time frame (2020, 2021 and 2022).

The Ghana Club 100 Awards Has Now Been Officially Launched

Criteria:

This year, companies would be ranked based on the following

Size
Growth
Profitability
Impact (Sustainability, Taxation, Employment and Reinvestment)
Awards

There will be awards for the top 100 businesses and awards for the leading companies in each of the strategic sectors, i.e., Best company in Agriculture and Agribusiness, Financial Services, Information and Communication Technology, infrastructure, Petroleum and Mining Services, Manufacturing, Tourism, Health and Education.

There will also be Special Awards for outstanding business performers in selected categories including Corporate Social Responsibility.
