Canada Makes History With Quarter-final Qualification At Copa América

Canada played goalless draw game against Chile on June 29, 2024. They finish Group A in second place with four points and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Only two debutant Concacaf teams had made it past the Group Stage in the competition’s history: Mexico was the first, not only to qualify but also to finish second in the 1993 competition. It was also the first country to have Concacaf guests as participants.
