Mamdev Ghana Limited, a construction company along with its foreign partners, has started on a project to change the entire Cape Coast metropolis into a $10billion green, keen and sustainable modern city.
Cape Coast, which was the first capital of Ghana, will be changed into a beauteous and a center of African history. The city will introduce a model life and community advancement platform for Africa later on.
The project is formally named the ‘Cape Coast Green City’
The whole construction drive was birthed by Mamdev Ghana Limited, the lead specialist, in consultant with Steady X and Haitech Technologies, an Information Technology firm, along with the Chiefs and people of Cape Coast and in connection with the Government of Ghana in addition to people from the diaspora.
During the launch of the project in Cape Coast on Saturday May 22, the CEO of Mamdev, Kojo Mamphey, made mention of that, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with numerous partners and organizations as to the project and was in the process to additional secure investment and partner contributions with the emphasis on delivery.
As per Kojo Mamphey, the project would be one to empower partners and financial backers to intertwine their abilities for a reasonable, different, incorporated and solid improvement for the area.
The Cape Coast city is to be controlled by green technology with savvy system grids to build material types ranging from local raw materials such as bamboo, timber and masonry stones.

The project would also include the re-development and redesigning of major road networks to concrete, associating with different urban communities and an all around spread out interior network, to decrease vehicular use.
It will also include the development of current hospitals into specialist centres; the improvement of the educational cradle of Ghana into an extensive and modern research, educational and technological development centre.
The project will include the growth of efficient power energy, water systems and waste service models into coordinated systems; the turn of events and overhauling of housing, hospitality centres; the improvement of tourism centres, and most importantly establish a welcoming community for all Africans.
Aside the development of the project, all senior secondary school students in the city would get an aggregate of 40,000 laptops to improve learning in school in Cape Coast city.
The Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarimba Kwesi Atta II, praised Mamdev for the drive and communicated the hopefulness that the project would be a success.
