Legendary singer Carlos Santana dropped in front of an audience during a show at Pine Knob Music Theater in Clarkston, Michigan on Tuesday night (July 5).
Several social media posts comprising of videos went viral where the guitar legend was seen waving to fans as he was wheeled off stage following his breakdown. The performer was purportedly treated after his stunning fall.
Santana was around 20 minutes into his set when he plunked down on the drum riser when he was playing out the melody Joy and afterward fell in reverse. Medical personnel rushed to the stage after the artist fell. Meanwhile, reports say it was nothing serious that made the guitar legend breakdown.
Reports say, the 74-year-old’s manager later informed in a statement that he was “doing well.”It was also informed by the musician’s manager that the cause of his collapse was a result of heat exhaustion and dehydration.
Following the new occurrence however, Santana’s impending show which was booked for Wednesday in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, has now been postponed until additional notification is released.
The musician has currently been on “The Miraculous Supernatural Tour” which still has 21 dates left through late August following which Santana is scheduled to head back to Las Vegas for his residency at the House of Blues.
Previously, the guitarist’s health became a cause of concern in December, when he cancelled a number of performances in Las Vegas after he underwent an unspecified and unscheduled heart procedure.
