
On January 20, 2025, country music icon Carrie Underwood will play at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. Being asked to take part in the “historic” event has made the singer feel proud.
The 41-year-old music legend, who is a private politician, has talked candidly about attending the ceremony and stressed the value of unity during this difficult time.
In a statement released on January 13, the singer expressed gratitude for the invitation and said she would take advantage of the chance to help with a formal leadership transition.
Underwood said,
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future”, the Jesus, Take the Wheel singer added.
Underwood has never publicly expressed any political opinions. She has stated in a number of interviews that she is a non-political celebrity who does not comment on politics.
However, Carrie Underwood will perform at the ceremony on January 20th to officially inaugurate Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States.
