CBG Gives Its SME Clients The Opportunity To Visit New Markets In China

Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD (CBG) has successfully arranged a business trade trip to China, giving its SME clients the opportunity to visit new markets up close, establish trusting relationships with suppliers, and confidently conduct international business.

This program positions CBG as a leader in trade finance for SMEs and is consistent with the bank’s mission to assist Ghanaian companies in international trade.

The journey took place between October 15 and November 4, 2024, and it also happened to coincide with the 136th Canton Fair, one of the biggest trade shows in the world, in Guangzhou, China. Clients of CBG had the exceptional chance to interact with suppliers across a range of industries, such as consumer electronics, home goods, and healthcare.

Customers of CBG were also given the opportunity to investigate the possibility of exporting their products, creating a route to global markets. These interactions gave participants priceless insights that enabled them to investigate supply options, negotiate successfully, and gain a deeper comprehension of trade terms and procedures.

As a sign of its commitment to its customers, CBG offered knowledgeable resource staff who were proficient in Chinese and knowledgeable about regional business customs, overcoming linguistic and cultural barriers and guaranteeing safe transactions.

In order to address the unique requirements of Ghanaian SMEs, the itinerary was thoughtfully created to introduce them to Chinese culture, negotiation strategies, and best practices for locating legitimate business partners.
