
Ghanaian Chef Ebenezer Smith prevalently known as Millenium Chef Smith has officially broken the Guinness World Record as the World’s longest Cooking Marathon by an individual.
He now holds the Record subsequent to timing an amazing 802 hours and 25 minutes to oust Alan Fisher.
On February 1, 2024, Chef Smith began his cook-a-thon journey with the intention of breaking the previous record. In spite of the fact that he at first targeted 1200 hour, he successfully cooked for 820 hours, finishing his marathon on March 6.
Chef Smith made the official announcement of his new record at the La Palm Beach Hotel in Accra. He also took the opportunity to express gratitude to Ghanaians and his sponsors.
During the Press Conference on July 2, 2024, Smith revealed that, his next game plan is to project Ghana’s flavors and cuisines.

He claimed that the experience he had gained as a cook and as an executive chef since 2000 had motivated and inspired him. As a result, he was able to accomplish this through self-motivation, determination, and the incredible support of his team, who never stopped.
He also said that he finished in 820 hours and 25 minutes, but Guinness World Records officials approved him of 802 hours and 25 minutes.
