The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced Chris Hughton’s appointment as head coach of the senior national football team, the Black Stars, following extensive discussion between the two parties. Chris Hughton takes over as the new Ghana coach.
The appointment is in line with the GFA’s plan to build a formidable squad, which began with Otto Addo in the lead-up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Mr. Hughton has been a formidable member of the Black Stars team during his time as the team’s Technical Advisor.

Additionally, the GFA has decided to keep Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and George Boateng as Assistant Coaches.
The technical team for the World Cup in Qatar included the three coaches.
Chris Hughton is a professional football manager and former player. Born in England, he represented the Republic of Ireland national team.
The GFA stated that the contract’s duration and terms of engagement would be disclosed in due course.
