Comedian and actor Abdul Waris Umaru, better known by his stage name “Comedian Waris,” has been selected to serve as an ambassador and influencer for the Accra Zoo Gardens.
Comedian Waris is tasked with promoting the zoo and encouraging frequent visits as a corporate representative of the park.
He is going to be of assistance in persuading people to visit the Accra Zoo Gardens in Ghana’s capital.
With his enormous social media following and current position as the company’s public face, comedian Waris is anticipated to make a difference.
The comic actor made the following social media post in appreciation of the ambassadorial agreement:
“Such a big honor to work with you accra_zoo_gardens as your ambassador/influencer… guys now I got my own cage at the zoo 😂😂😂😂 watch out !!!❤️❤️❤️💯💯
The actor is one of Ghana’s most famous and well-established comedians in Ghana.
Since 2015, he has worked in the comic industry. Waris interned as a sound engineer at Top FM and Rainbow Radio prior to entering the comedy industry.
In 2014, he joined Channel 5 TV. Waris worked as a stand-up comedian and personal assistant for award-winning comedian DKB at Ecstasy Entertainment a year later.
He has performed flawlessly in comedy ever since. ‘Don’t Leave Me Challenge, Fear Women, Accra Mall Love, Journey to Benin, Adventures of Waris’, and a number of other online skits are among his creations.
Waris has also appeared in a number of other films, including “Agenda Boys”, “Fufu Funu” and the recent one “Escape to Chaos’ produced by Emmanuel Kwaku Dosoo.
