Cristiano Ronaldo Scores A Beautiful Distance Goal For Al Nassr

In a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Abha on Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first goal at Mrsool Park, Al Nassr’s home field.

Al Nassr fell behind as they tried to keep pace with Saudi Pro League leaders Al Ittihad after the visitors’ first goal was disallowed for offside. In the 26th minute, the visitors took the lead.

The former Manchester United striker won a free kick for the hosts from 35 yards out, and he scored one of his trademark free kicks that beat Abha goalkeeper Davis Epassy to bring Al Nassr and the hosts level.

Meanwhile, with ten minutes remaining, Abha’s Zakaria Al Sudani received a second yellow card, and Al Nassr were awarded a late penalty for handball after a lengthy VAR check.

Ronaldo gave the ball to Brazilian Anderson Talisca, who had just come back from an injury, rather than trying to score from the spot.

Al Nassr’s pressure on Al-Ittihad’s leaders continued as Talisca scored his 14th goal of the season from a penalty kick in the 86th minute and celebrated with Ronaldo.

Through an interpreter, Talisca stated to Saudi Sports Company (SSC) TV,

“This is mutual respect, we are one team, and we act like a family.”

“We all cooperate and the most important thing is the team. In the end, it’s all for the benefit of the club. Whether it is me or any other player, the important thing is to score. It is certainly something special from Ronaldo.”

Ronaldo made amends after receiving a yellow card in Tuesday’s 3-1 King’s Cup loss to Abha after going three games without scoring for his new team and never scoring at home for Al Nassr.

The outcome keeps Al Nassr in second place with 49 points, just one point behind Al Ittihad, who beat their rivals in the chase 1-0 last weekend in a league match.
