CUPRA And FC Barcelona’s Partnership For The Next Five Years

CUPRA and FC Barcelona have renewed their global partnership, which has existed over the years, with a shared vision for the future.

According to Wayne Griffiths, CEO of CUPRA, the partnership aims to redevelop Spotify Camp Nou, in which the car brand will play a significant role.

By showcasing their shared projects that connect the worlds of automobiles and sports, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta also reaffirmed their commitment to future generations.

Griffiths conveyed one of the primary CUPRA Tavascans to Laporta. This is CUPRA’s first 100 percent electric car SUV, and it will be the club’s official vehicle, symbolising the brand’s commitment to electric mobility and underlining its role as an official automobile and mobility partner.

“At CUPRA, we are delighted to strengthen our ties with FC Barcelona, ​​​​the biggest club in the world. Our collaboration is not just a partnership; it’s about a shared vision of the future to inspire the world from Barcelona. By delivering the CUPRA Tavascan to president Laporta and becoming involved with the Espai Barça project, we are reinforcing our commitment to the next generation of athletes and car lovers”, said Griffiths.

After that, Laporta and Griffiths went to the Spotify Camp Nou construction site, where CUPRA, as a key partner, will get exposure on match days and get VIP boxes and seats to watch the best football. The brand will introduce electric chargers and its logo will be in plain view in the vehicle park of the club’s commercial workplaces.

This partnership represents the solidification of the global partnership between CUPRA and FC Barcelona, which was recently renewed until 2029. CUPRA will continue to be the club’s Official Automotive and Mobility Partner and Official Car for the next five seasons.
