Dancer Dancegod Lloyd has revealed that he is almost launching a dance school named Dance, Grow, and Live (DGL).
Following his separation with his former group, DWP, the dancer formed his very own group. Along with the new group, they have performed at many occasions.
Dancegod Lloyd then chose to keep the group to grow their talent.
The dancer revealed this during a recent interview on Joy Prime television on Friday August 23. He claims that despite the obstacles he faced, he was able to quickly form the team.
“It started off with King Promise’s performance at TGMA. I was asked to call people. So, I reached out to Danny and others to help me and they did. After the performance I was like do I let them go? Because i saw real talents. Do I want to be betrayed? But I just allowed myself and prayed to God about it and look at us hear,” he said.
He began with five individuals, and the group has now increased to around twenty. He decided to open a school to train and discover more talent in the field as the number of people went up.
Dancegod Lloyd further stated that his previous interactions with people have increased his degree of caution. He now sought the support of experts in various fields, including legal practitioners, to assist with the business aspects while he focuses on the art.
“I was scared in the beginning but now there’s a structure. I have a lot of people that are helping me with this thing. I know I’m really good with young talents and taking care of them but I can’t do everything myself. I have lawyers and people who are really invested in businesses. So now it’s more like a business than just having fun. So, I think about the art and the other people think about the business. It’s a school,” he added.
For now, Dancegod Lloyd is highly confident about his new group of artists, believing that they are real and will assist with working on his specialty and the launch of the school.
