The family of the former President Jerry John Rawlings has announced the date for the last memorial service rituals of the longest serving President of Ghana.
In an official statement by James Victor Gbeho, the Head of Funeral Planning Committee, the family in counsel with the government of Ghana has conceded to December 23, for the memorial service.
The statement adds that the memorial service customs for the 73-year-old will fall off at the Independence Square in Accra, Ghana.
The family is working hand in hand with the government on the better subtleties of the memorial service ceremony, and will communicate the arrangement at the appropriate time.
