
December In GH seeks to draw in a large number of people including international guests to Ghana, with activities already announcing the Yuletide. There are various pleasant events ready to go down, with some beginning as early as November 2023.
The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has set down many projects in the country to proclaim the long stretch of December, with the goal that visitors from all over the world would have something to appreciate when they arrive in Ghana.
Hence, all other related the travel industry organizations including National Commission on Culture (NCC), Ghana Investment Promotion Promotion Council (GIPC), Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Beyond The Return Secretariat and others are encouraging event organizers and revelers to maintain Ghanaian cultural values during this essential December festivities.
December in GH is the country’s biggest celebration made up of cultural, entertainment, adventure, nightlife, fashion, gastronomy, tours and community service making Ghana the go-to hotspot to experience the bubbly season.
Notwithstanding, due to the increasing influence of modern trends, technology and social media on the December in GH, the NCC is cautioning that inability to exercise discretion could weaken the conventional and cultural pith of the festivities. With this, Ghanaian traditions will be protected.

Obviously, the incorporation of modern elements into traditional celebrations has been overwhelming over the years due to technology and influences of other cultures. Yet, the Commission knows that Ghana can’t live in disconnection and just as culture transforms, there are most certainly a few new introductions and changes that could occur because of collaborations with other cultures.
In the interim, the National Commission On Culture will be embarking on a capacity-building programme for emerging artistes nationwide starting December 2023. The outfit has already secured funding under the UNESCO-Aschberg programme for artistes and cultural professionals to begin with the project.
