Diana Hamilton Shows Great Interest In Performing At Asantehene’s Anniversary

The 2021 Vodafone Ghana Artiste of the Year, Diana Antwi Hamilton will be on the list of artistes to perform at one of the occasions scheduled to mark Asantehene’s 25th enstoolment Commemoration celebration.

The Gospel artist proposed to perform when she visited the Manhyia Royal residence on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Kumasi.

Speaking for her sake, Head of the Heal Komfo Anokye (Heal KATH) Project, Sammy Adu Boakye, said, Diana Hamilton will avail herself for any programme Manhyia might need in the course of the King’s 25th Anniversary.

Otumfuo put out a few events scheduled for the commemoration and asked Diana Hamilton to liaise with his office to carve out a suitable time.

Back in 2022, the gospel artiste was among the key characters who were invited to perform at Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III’s fifth Anniversary in 2022.

But with this visit, Diana was at the Palace to seek for the blessings of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II ahead of the second session of her Awake Experience concert at Bantama in Kumasi on February 25.

Accompanying her to Palace were her husband, Dr Joseph Hamilton, and representatives of her lead sponsors including Mr Daniel Eduam, the Kumasi Branch Manager for Enterprise Life Insurance, Mark Menah Abban, the Middlebelt Sales and Distribution Manager for Awake Natural Mineral Water and Tony Afoakwa, the Managing Director for Property Electronics.

The 25th enstoolment Anniversary of His Highness Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will start in March and end in May 2024.

Asantehene’s 25th Anniversary Celebration: The Date And Venue Out

Principal among the events is a non-denominational thanksgiving service slated for April 26, at the Dwabrem grounds at the Manhyia Palace, per schedules released by the Planning Committee of the anniversary.

Later in the evening of April 26, there will be an anniversary dinner at the residence of the King.

Another thanksgiving service and dinner will be held at the St. Cyprian’s Church and the Manhyia Palace, respectively, on May 6 to mark the 74th birthday of the King.

The Anniversary will reach a conclusion on May 10, 2024, with a durbar at the Baba Yara Sports Arena.
