Kim Kardashian’s ex Ray J has declared that the success of an adult website is due to the release of their 2007 sex tape.

Interviews and appearances on reality shows keep Ray J’s cultural relevance alive. Not long ago, he showed up in a YouTube video and announced the effect of the release of himself and Kim’s tape from 2007.
Ray J claims that he has had a significant impact on popular culture. Ray J debated with Shannon Sharpe on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast about how his previous sex tape with ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian has led to platforms like OnlyFans.
He contemplated whether without his tape things would be unique.
“How different would this whole f–king thing be. How different would this industry be. Everything would be different.” The singer continued with his pop culture hypothesis, “There might not be any OnlyFans and all the things like that. All the opportunities like that. Probably more people would be going to college.”

Ray J admitted his change of mind as a parent when he felt ashamed over releasing the tape. He called it all ‘crazy’ because today it’s no longer something he would want his kids to see.
“Are we a part of the cure or we a part of the disease?” he questioned. “I don’t know. All I know is I’m trying to make it right,” he replied to Shannon Sharpe on being asked whether it embarrassed, further adding, “Yes, I have kids now. Everything I did now when we have kids is just totally different. The whole thing is wacky. With my kids it’s not ok.”
Ray J had previously discussed that sex tape at length. He stated in 2022 that one of the three videos he and Kim had made about their vacation had been chosen for distribution by Kris Jenner, Kim’s mother, and her manager.

He mentioned that Mrs. Jenner selected the video from their vacation in Mexico after looking at all of them. Besides, Ray J also uncovered how Kim Kardashian hushed up about a single copy like an album was being released.
