DJ Cuppy (Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola) raised awareness of autism on June 2, 2025, in honor of her younger brother Fewa Otedola’s 25th birthday.
Fewa, who has autism, is “one of God’s greatest blessings to our family,” she wrote in a poignant post on social media, reminding them every day that “love needs no words” because of his joy and pure heart.
Fewa has been living with autism and is the sole son of Femi Otedola, a Nigerian millionaire. His family has always shown him a great deal of love and pride.
In addition to honoring her brother’s accomplishment, DJ Cuppy’s public homage sought to raise awareness of autism and promote better understanding and support for those who suffer from it.
DJ Cuppy was commended by social media users for utilizing her platform to raise awareness of autism, a disorder that is still stigmatized and misunderstood in many African countries.
This project complements DJ Cuppy’s continuous charitable endeavors. She established the Cuppy Foundation in July 2018, and since then, it has raised a substantial amount of money for a number of causes, including the Save the Children campaign in Nigeria.
She promoted youth empowerment as the first-ever global celebrity ambassador for King Charles III’s The King’s Trust in 2023.
By doing this for her brother’s birthday, DJ Cuppy is using her platform to advocate for tolerance and compassion, highlighting the importance of supporting individuals with autism.
