Usher offered Justin Bieber the chance to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, but the singer declined. Bieber and his better half rather enjoyed the show in the comfort of their seats.
This has raised a few hypotheses why Bieber could do this, particularly not considering the good relationship between himself and Usher.
Usher, who performed at the last Super Bowl halftime, demanded Justin Bieber go along with him, yet he declined to appear. There were gossipy tidbits about the team performing together, but Bieber appeared to have turned down the opportunity without a second to spare.
The reason why the “Peaches” singer did not join his mentor on stage has not been adequately explained. Interestingly, Bieber was joined by his wife Hailey to the game as they were captured not long after halftime.
Before the game, an entertainment portal revealed, “Usher has been hitting up Justin Bieber of late to discuss the possibility of Justin Bieber going along with him during the Super Bowl Halftime Show … which currently seems like an undeniable chance.
However, a source near the singer later revealed that “there’s no bad blood between Usher and Justin. But Justin just wasn’t up for it—he just wasn’t feeling it.”
The Touching And Successful Story Of Mary J Blige
Justin Bieber is a mentee to Usher growing up, and Usher has helped the ‘Stay’ singer during his difficult stage from between 2014-2017. Usher alludes to Bieber as his son. While in an old interview with an entertainment portal, Usher revealed,
“He’s like a child to me, so I don’t necessarily feel like it’s business, you know what I’m saying? I feel like I’m talking to someone who has had hardships. If your child ever has difficulties, every person who’s listening to this s—t right now understands that nobody’s perfect. You’re gonna have moments. And if he does, I can only show him the reality of what has happened… of course we’ve had stern talks.”
“I am happy that I was at the beginning of and I am still a part of to this day, as a friend. Whatever he may be experiencing right now, it’s actually really great to see that he has the support from his fans and his family.”
