
Co-hosts Garth Brooks and Dolly Parton were in front of an audience during the 58th Academy Of Country Music Awards to emcee the show. Dolly Parton, a singer, also took a moment to remember two of her friends at the ACM Awards this year.
The genius vocalist, paid tribute to Loretta Lynn and Naomi Judd, who both passed on in 2022.
Parton sang an a cappella version of the hymn “Precious Memories.”
Lynn passed away at the age of 90 in October 2022. “a hero and one of the most important, but still down-to-earth singer-songwriters in history.” Parton said of her.

With regards to Judd, who passed on in May 2022 at 76 years old, Parton brought up that she and Judd were of the same age, “both genuine G.O.A.T.s, Capricorns and we adored big hair.”
“I still do,” Parton said. “And we loved that makeup. But above all else we loved each other.”
“Tonight we lovingly remember all those we’ve lost in our country music family and we promise to do our best to keep the circle forever unbroken in their memory,” Garth Brooks also added.
