As per former U.S President Donald Trump, the FBI raided his Mar-a-Lago home, in Palm Beach, Florida on Monday August 8. Trump said his home has been under attack, struck, and involved by a huge gathering of FBI agents.
The attack came following quite a while of inquiries regarding whether Attorney General Merrick Garland was planning to seek after investigations concerning the former president.
The raid was “unannounced,” Trump said, adding, “They even broke into my safe!”
The search represents a serious escalation of federal law enforcement focus on Trump, after months of questions about whether Attorney General Merrick Garland was planning to pursue investigations into the former president.
To get a court order, federal investigators should show an adjudicator that there is reasonable justification to believe a wrongdoing has been carried out and that there might be proof connected with that wrongdoing in the area they are focusing on.
Several outlets reported that the search was related to a Justice Department probe into whether laws were broken when 15 boxes of White House records — which included some documents marked as classified — ended up at Mar-a-Lago instead of the National Archives.
There are multiple active probes at the state and federal level related to Trump, his business and his family. The Justice Department is reportedly investigating events leading to the Jan. 6, 2021, riot, when a mob of Trump’s supporters stormed the Capitol and delayed confirmation of President Joe Biden’s Electoral College win by Congress.
Trump, who summers at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, was not at Mar-a-Lago at the hour of the attack.
The former president left the Trump Tower in New York City later Monday night without answering any questions. According to his daughter-in-law, Mr Trump was shocked at the “movie”.
The attack came hours after Politico detailed that lawyer John Rowley, a former federal investigator, is presently representing Trump in consults with the DOJ about executive privilege issues related to the department’s investigation of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Interest in Trump’s handling of official documents while president resurfaced earlier Monday, when Axios published photos that it said corroborated prior reporting that Trump was believed to have flushed papers down the White House toilet.
“The former president of the United States did not handle classified documents properly,” said Trump’s former press secretary Stephanie Grisham,
“I watched him go through documents, throw some away, rip some up and put some in his pocket.”

Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before. After working and cooperating with the relevant Government agencies, this unannounced raid on my home was not necessary or appropriate. It is prosecutorial misconduct, the weaponization of the Justice System, and an attack by Radical Left Democrats who desperately don’t want me to run for President in 2024, especially based on recent polls, and who will likewise do anything to stop Republicans and Conservatives in the upcoming Midterm Elections. Such an assault could only take place in broken, Third-World Countries. Sadly, America has now become one of those Countries, corrupt at a level not seen before. They even broke into my safe! What is the difference between this and Watergate, where operatives broke into the Democrat National Committee? Here, in reverse, Democrats broke into the home of the 45th President of the United States.
