Dr. Bawumia Promises To Make The Creative Industry One Of The Biggest..

The Vice President of Ghana, and the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has put out several projects for Ghana’s creative arts industry, if elected as the President of the country, come December.

As indicated by Dr. Bawumia, he plans to build the creative industry in Ghana through several key initiatives:

One of them is to utilize tax incentives, including a flat tax, to encourage private sector investments in the entertainment sector which includes— sports, tourism, and creative arts.

He said, he will also introduce E-Visa Policy, where there will be an e-visa policy for all international visitors to Ghana to make visa acquisition fast and convenient.

Other than the abovementioned, the VP says, he intends to roll out a visa-free policy for all nationals of African and Caribbean countries visiting Ghana.

As indicated by Dr. Bawumia, the Creative Arts industry is wide and when upheld, it stands to contribute more benefits to the economy.

Subsequently, he will lay out a streaming and digital management platforms for Ghanaian content creators in the space.

The NPP Candidate further added that, his administration will create a Travel Protocol Service (TPS) for the creative community to facilitate international performances and shows.

As one of the innovative branches, he also plans to establish a Sports Development Fund to enhance sports infrastructure, talent development, and grassroots sports programs.

‘Bawumia’s Focus Is Economic Growth And Job Creation’

Here, more astroTurfs will be constructed in every constituency to boost talent development, particularly in juvenile football.

These initiatives aim to enhance the creative industry, making it a significant contributor to Ghana’s economy and global presence.
