Dr. Bawumia’s ADC House Raided By National Security?

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

Journalist Paul Adom-Otchere claims that National Security officers recently conducted a major raid on the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) home of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former vice president of Ghana. According to Adom-Otchere, the operation took place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, with the intention of finding cash.

Adom-Otchere posted pictures from the site while raising doubts about the raid’s goals and results.

However, there has been no official statement from National Security or the Vice President’s office to substantiate this claim.

Notably, there have been recent instances of National Security operations that have targeted former government leaders’ homes. For instance, National Security personnel allegedly searched the private home of Dr. Ernest Addison, the former governor of the Bank of Ghana, on March 19, 2025.

In a same vein, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia denounced the use of security forces to intimidate people who are thought to be opponents of the current administration, pointing to instances like military raids on previous government officials and attacks on journalists.
