Dua Lipa has spoken about her viral dance meme, which eventually turned into trolling and criticism for her.
She is one of only a handful of exceptional artists of this era who has procured her prosperity very early in life and has had the option to sustain it to date. The singer is also an actress and a fashionista.
Lipa recently opened up about her famous dance meme and how it impacted her. According to her,
“When people took that snippet of me dancing online and just turned it into a meme, and then when I won the best new artist Grammy and people were like, ‘She’s not deserving of it, she’s got no stage presence, she’s not going to stick around.'”
The artist continued,
“Those things were hurtful. It was humiliating. I had to take myself off Twitter.”
The singer responded that it affected her for two years when asked how long it had affected her. The hitmaker revealed that she couldn’t get out from her bed because of people’s opinion about her.
The singer went on to say,
“I didn’t care to that degree. But that’s when it was most heightened for me.”
Due to the fact that it was only a small portion of a much larger show, Dua Lipa stated that it was unfair to her. Fans appreciate the singer’s move into acting because she made her acting debut in “Barbie” as Mermaid Barbie in a cameo role.
