On Monday, December 2, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister of Communications and Digitalisation and Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ablekuma West constituency, said on Angel FM’s morning show that she will be ranked highly among women in politics, especially in Ghana.

Ursula Owusu claims that since entering politics, she has put forth a lot of effort in the political sphere, particularly in parliament and her constituency.

She said, practically everyone has noticed her individuality and the difference in the caliber of her work so far as a result of her diligent efforts in parliament.

“I am the first MP to build a basket ball court in my constituency.” She further pointed that, “ I have made improvements across all sectors in my constituency.”

According to Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, her many projects have had a significant impact on both her constituency and society at large.

She emphasized that 300 young people have been hired by the government, and that the Ursula Foundation was established to expand handy jobs because there are more young people in her constituency than there are jobs available.

She explained that there is no discrimination and that her foundation was founded to assist her constituents rather than for political reasons. According to her, the various programs have even helped well-known members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
