Rashida Saani, the founder of the Ghana Report, turned her most recent mentorship session with the Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray (EwithBR) Cohort Two into a life-changing opportunity for one unique young businesswoman in the competition.
In her lively presentation titled “Complete Communication: A Requirement for Effective Business Pitch,” Saani asked each mentee to give a one-minute business presentation with a remarkable promise of instant funding for the best pitch.
Daisy-Alcie Mawuena Zigre, CEO of DMD Catering Services, won the competition in the end.
Her business idea, which stands out thanks to its strong Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) component, focuses on teaching young women baking and catering skills and providing them with seed money to start their own businesses.
At the start of the session, Saani made a declaration, which set an encouraging tone that would soon lead to concrete support.
The visionary man behind the project, Bola Ray, showed up unexpectedly, which raised the stakes even higher.
Saani’s decision to provide funding for one of the mentees demonstrates the program’s dedication to practical entrepreneurship training.
Her approach was praised by Bola Ray, who said that she was “filled with immense knowledge and wealth” and praised her for going above and beyond to help young entrepreneurs directly.

The Bola Ray Institute (BRI) has been given the responsibility of keeping an eye on how the fund is being used to make sure Zigre’s entrepreneurial idea gets the right advice and support.
Rashida said as she thought about the project and its essence:
“The fact that [Bola Ray] doesn’t just do it for himself, but ensures young people have a fair benefit of his life of substance, is highly commendable.”
The fundamental goal of the Entrepreneurship with Bola Ray program is exemplified by this pivotal moment: connecting theoretical knowledge to real-world opportunities and providing concrete means for aspiring business owners to realize their goals
