While numerous organizations are currently exploiting COVID-19 to make branded facemasks, some artists are also having a chomp of that. Singer, The Weeknd is one of the several music artists who likewise released facemasks to help moderate the spread of the pandemic.
The mask has been made by Universal Music’s merchandise organization Bravado as a feature of their “We’ve Got You Covered” direct initiative.
Meanwhile, Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, The Rolling Stones, the late TuPac Shakur, Bob Marley, Queen and Frank Sinatra and Ariana Grande are among the artists who will be offered facemasks to help in the campaign to battle the infection.
The masks which cost £15, will have all proceeds going to MusiCares, a cause giving financial, clinical and personal help to music industry laborers during these difficult times.
The facemasks are officially for personal use and not for clinical gadgets nor PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
