
Godwin Avenorgbo, a well-known veteran broadcaster and Director of Communications at the Melcom Group of Companies, is said to be dead.
On Monday, August 19, his long-term employer, the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), posted a sad Facebook post announcing his sudden death.
He was one of the best radio hosts with a sweet voice, and was affectionately referred to as “The Grand Master.” On Thursday, August 15, Godwin Avenorgbo was last seen at an event.
He participated in a variety of activities at the 75th Anniversary Commemorative Lecture of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The Anniversary Planning Committee’s Chairman was him.
Godwin Avenorgbo is well-known for his lengthy tenure at the national broadcaster GBC, where he anchored numerous programs with his distinctive voice and engaging broadcasting presentation style.

He worked as a public relations and communications strategist for a number of Ghanaian businesses and organizations before he passed away.
