FC Barcelona Plays Four Special Pre-Season Matches In The US

During the club’s pre-season tour in the United States, FC Barcelona will play four friendlies against Juventus, Arsenal FC, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.

This tour takes place in the same location as their pre-season tour in the United States in 2022, which took place there the previous season. There will be four games for Barca, all of which will be against teams from Europe.

California will host the first two games; against Juventus on July 22 and Arsenal FC on July 26 in Santa Clara, San Francisco Bay Area.

The final two games will be in Dallas, Texas, where they will play Real Madrid on July 29 and in Las Vegas, where they will play AC Milan.

The majority of the Club’s institutional and social activities were held in Las Vegas and Dallas during the Barça’s US Summer Tour 2022, which included games in Miami, New York, and Dallas.

This year, the West Coast is where the majority of the Club’s activities will take place and where three of their four scheduled games will be played.

The blaugranes will make their tour debut against Juventus on July 22 in San Francisco’s Levis Stadium, Santa Clara, which is also home to the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers.

Following matches against Manchester United in 2015 and AC Milan in 2018, this will be Barça’s third appearance at the venue, which can accommodate 68,000 fans.

The most recent meeting between Barça and Juventus was a tour-friendly match that ended in a 2-2 tie.

The other matchup in California will be on July 26 against Arsenal under Mikel Arteta at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles. This stadium, which opened in 2020 and has a capacity of 70,000, is where the NFL’s Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams play their home games.

The two teams will play for the first time in seven years. Their last meeting was in the UEFA Champions League last 16 in 2016, when Barça won 2-0 in London and 3-1 at Spotify Camp Nou. Additionally, this will be the first meeting between the two teams in the United States.

This year’s summer tour will also include one of the most anticipated matches for fans: the Clásico, Barça and Real Madrid’s third meeting in the United States.

The AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, which is home to the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and has a capacity of 80,000, will host the match. The location is one that Barça has previously visited twice; against Manchester United in 2011 and AS Roma in 2018.

Barça has won both of their previous matches against Real Madrid in the United States: winning 1-0 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2022 and 3-2 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami in 2017.

The third game on the west coast, the final match of Xavi Hernández’s team’s tour against AC Milan, will be played at the Allegiant Stadium, which holds 65,000 fans.

The two teams have previously played in the United States twice, with Barça winning by a score of 2-0 in Washington in 2003 and the Italians winning by a score of 1-0 in Santa Clara in 2018.

The BARCA ON TOUR games: US 2023 are a part of the Soccer Champions Tour, a tournament that Sixth Street, Legends, and AEG put together.

In addition to Barça and their four tour opponents, Manchester United will also be there.
