Fidelity Bank Donates GH¢ 500,000 To Aid Families Of Late Ministers And Soldiers

To help the families of the eight Ghanaians who perished in the horrific helicopter disaster on August 6, 2025, Fidelity Bank Ghana has contributed GH¢ 500,000 to the government relief fund.

The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah received the cheque on behalf of the government.

President John Dramani Mahama established the fund with the goal of giving the victims’ dependents long-term support, emphasizing healthcare, education, and general well-being.

Several prominent officials and military men were killed in the tragedy, which happened close to Adansi Akrofuom in the Ashanti Region. Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammad and Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah, who were both on board the doomed aircraft, were among those killed.

The managing director of Fidelity Bank stressed the bank’s dedication to supporting the impacted families during this trying time while speaking at the contribution. He pointed out that the donation is a component of the bank’s larger CSR program, which aims to aid in the nation’s recovery during disasters.
