The official draw and emblem of the FIFA Club World Cup Saudi Arabia 2023™ will be spread out on Tuesday, 5 September, 2023 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. From December 12 to December 22, seven teams will compete in the event.
The draw which will be streamed live on FIFA’s digital platforms will have the following clubs involved:
AFC Champions League 2022 winners: Urawa Reds, Japan
CAF Champions League 2022/2023 winners: Al Ahly FC, Egypt
Concacaf Champions League 2023 winners: Club León, Mexico
CONMEBOL Libertadores 2023 winners: TBD
OFC Champions League 2023 winners: Auckland City FC, New Zealand
UEFA Champions League 2022/2023 winners: Manchester City FC, England
Host (latest winner of organising association’s league): Al Ittihad FC, Saudi Arabia
Fixtures: First round (Match 1) Al Ittihad FC v Auckland City FC 12 December
Second round (Matches 2 & 3) Team A v Team B; Team C v Team D 15 December
Semi-finals (Matches 4 & 5) CONMEBOL representative v M2 or M3 winner 18 December
M2 or M3 winner v Manchester City FC 19 December
Play-off for third place & final (Matches 6 & 7) 22 December
There will be a couple of additional huge achievements happening for the competition around the same time, including the launch of the official emblem, which will be uncovered alongside the draw. The official match schedule will also be out after the draw.
