Mali Beat Argentina by 3-0 in the third place game which was played on Saturday December 1 in Surakarta. The African side were just phenomenal on the day with Diarra, Doumbia and Makalou on target for the African side.
The goals came in the 9th, 45th and 48th minutes respectively with Mali’s Hamidou Makalou being named Player of the Match.
Hamidou Makalou scored an extraordinary individual goal as Mali cleared aside Argentina to secure the bronze award at the FIFA U-17 World Cup™.
The remarkable Diarra – irrefutably one of the stars of Indonesia 2023 – opened the scoring on nine minutes. The Mali skipper skillfully controlled a hurled pass from Sekou Kone then, at that point, set an accuracy strike into the base corner.
Mali kept on controlling the game and got the second goal on the stroke of half-time. Makalou was the one who created the goal, with his free-kick delivery headed home by Doumbia.

“We’re happy. We would have liked to take home the cup, but this bronze medal is very nice. During the match, we stuck together, and I dedicate this victory to the Malian people.”
The finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup™ between Germany and France will be played at the Manahan stadium on Sunday December 2.
