The Black Stars of Ghana beat the Central African Republic 4-3 in an exhilarating game that saw a few defects with respect to the Ghana team on Monday night in Kumasi.

The Black Stars started the game in an aggressive way, and won a penalty from the get-go in the 6th minute.

Jordan Ayew perfectly changed over and scored to give Ghana a sure lead. The Crystal Palace stone after coming from the bench in the past game against Mali to score the winner was right on target, as he beautifully converted the penalty.

Fatawu Issahaku who also started the game, created the penalty for Ghana in the early snapshots of the match at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium, which was completely loaded up with home fans.

However, the Central African Republic came into the game five minutes after the fact with some long balls into the half of the Black Stars that left the defenders ‘gasping’. Louis Mafouta took advantage of one these long balls and equalised in the eleventh [11th] minute.

Just when Ghana were pressuring the Central African Republic for a lead, Louis Mafouta scored again in the 41st minute to guarantee the first half lead with the guests clutching the advantage.

The Black Stars came back in the second half part exceptionally ‘wild’ to get the three most important points to conciliate the many fans at the stadium. Jordan Ayew got hold of a very well taken cross from Gideon Mensah on the hour mark and perfectly headed the ball into the net of the opponents.

Issahaku scored two minutes later before Jordan Ayew sealed the win with a bounce back after Mohammed Kudus had his shot blocked.

The CAR pulled one back with a strong strike from Mafouta once more.

Jordan Ayew’s hat-trick takes him to 28 goals for Ghana, and sixth on the record-breaking list. He currently has just one goal behind Tony Yeboah who also played as a striker for Ghana.

The win implies Ghana move to top of Group I with nine points and keeps up with its strength at the Baba Yara Stadium having just lost a World Cup qualifier.
