All other matches follows up. That said, one of Africa’s reps Nigeria is profoundly hopeful to perform and potentially get to the finals. Onome Ebi, the captain of the team, stated in an interview with CafOnline that the Super Falcons are getting ready for their record ninth appearance at the global event.
The multiple African champions have been drawn in Group B where they will fight out against Canada, Ireland and hosts Australia. The aggressive Nigerians are slowly folding their sleeves and getting ready to display a good performance at the tourney.
Onome Ebi claims that Nigeria’s preparations are ongoing, with an emphasis on improving on all aspects; from defense to attack.
“We are adjusting everything to be ready for the World Cup which is fast approaching. We are focusing on the small details which we don’t want to miss and also, we don’t want to repeat mistakes that we have had in the past”.
The Super Falcons want to do their best and make their nation and Africa proud during this World Cup. The mentality is to perform to their most extreme best to prevail.

Onome Ebi said, they had a few disappointments at the last TotalEnergies Womens’ Africa Cup of Nations where they didn’t put up their best performance, therefore this World Cup is a big test for them.
“We have the opportunity at the World Cup where we do not want to disappoint again. I have faith in my team and I like our current state of mind. The team is united and I believe we will be able to do great things at the World Cup. We are motivated and we want to hoist Nigeria’s flag to the highest point”.
“The ball is in our court as players and we have to do everything to be on fire physically and mentally for this opportunity”.
Since the team has performed exceptionally well at various club levels, it is anticipated that they will perform exceptionally well in this tournament.
Onome Ebi said she and her teammates have already set their objectives for the competition, and will be giving off their best for successes.
Along with Canada, Ireland, and Australia, Nigeria is in Group B. The Super Falcons are in a tough group, particularly being in there with the defending champs Canada who they have faced two times before. They lost one and drew one.
However , Onome Ebi said, they are under no pressure but are calm to face these matches. They just have to be ready for each of them.
