Ghana Entertainers Ought to Go Get A New Position So There Can Be An Entire Rebuilding For A Major Return – Umar Krupp
Ghanaian actor, Umar Krupp says the Ghanaian Film Industry is dead and unessential.
As per him, the film industry should be closed down for no less than five years to go through rebuilding, in order to give it a significant lift.
In a new radio interview in Cape Coast, the award winning actor said:
“If it will do us good, let’s shut the Ghana movie industry down for five years.
“Let’s not do anything Ghana movie again. Everyone should go and find a different job so we restructure the whole industry and come back,” he said.
He also ascribed the awful condition of the film industry to the actions of specific industry ‘watchmen’ who are rather old but are reluctant to move to one side for the young ones to assume control over the industry.

He therefore appealed to the veteran gatekeepers to create an enabling environment for the talented young ones to revive the Ghanaian movie industry. Krupp also touched on lack of investors to help grow the industry.
“Ghana has a future because there are talents who are ready to invest in themselves and ready to give out themselves to people to make the best out of them,” he added.
Umar Krupp is one of the finest Ghanaian actors, known for his major roles in movies such as– ‘Away Bus, House of Gold, John and John’ and numerous others.
