In preparation for his impending marriage to his ex-wife’s niece, former Brazil striker Hulk has planned a religious wedding ceremony.
Hulk, who plays for Atletico Mineiro, is reportedly getting married to Camila Angelo in December 2024. The two were already married in a civil ceremony in 2020, according to Portal Leodias.
The surprising aspect of this is that, prior to their marriage four years ago, Hulk and Angelo were technically related, although not by blood.
Hulk was previously married to Iran Angelo, Camila’s aunt, and the two spent 12 years together.
Between 2007 and 2019, they had three children together: a daughter named Alice and two sons, Ian and Tiago, who are his new wife’s cousins.
In 2020, Hulk got married to Camila following the end of his 12-year relationship with Iran.
A spokesman for the striker said in a statement at the time:
“‘Hulk called the parents and the brother of Camila and told them the truth”.
The ceremony is set to take place on a beach on the coast of Paraiba, with an exact date yet to be arranged.
Meanwhile, Atletico are still in contention for the CONMEBOL Libertadores Cup, which could lead to them competing in the FIFA Intercontinental Club Cup.

That might force Hulk to postpone the wedding ceremony and prolong their season.
Hulk was a member of the team that won the Confederations Cup and scored 11 goals in 49 games for Brazil between 2009 and 2021.
His stint at Porto from 2008 to 2012, during which he won four league titles and the Europa League, is what made him most famous in club football.
Hulk, who is currently 38 years old, also had success with Shanghai SIPG and Zenit St Petersburg.
