On August 2, 2025, a Candlelight Vigil and Book of Condolence was held in Accra’s Independence Square to kick off the 61-year-old superstar’s burial preparations.
On July 29, 2025, a Book of Condolence was started at his private home located at House No. 12 on Kinshasha Crescent.
The date of DL’s one-week memorial observance in Accra has now been formally confirmed by the family.
The planned start date of the observation period is August 30, 2025. The family, fans, musicians, and creative industry figures will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.
