Ghana Corporate Brands Awards 2023: The Complete List Of Winners

The 2023 Ghana Corporate Brands Awards, which was held in Accra, were titled ‘Digital horizons: celebrating Ghana’s corporate brands charting a path to technology excellence’. The occasion highlighted on excellence in branding.

On the whole, 5 state organizations and 44 corporate organizations were recognized for promoting digitisation. According to the government of Ghana, the contributions and commitments of these brands is important for it’s plan of creating sustainable jobs using digitization.

The way people do things today is being altered by innovations like the e-business registration system, paperless port clearance system, digital address system, biometric registration system, and national identification system, to name just a few.

These digital systems on the whole decrease cost of directing business within every institution including the country, while improving by and large effectiveness and disposing of delegates and different bottlenecks. Digitizations also touches off the youth’s entrepreneurial potential.

In line with this, the University of Ghana is also putting together an innovative culture driven by technology. As one of the leading universities supporting extraordinary corporate experts, the school has supported vital targets with the mission to make a culture that promotes research, teaching and learning, regulatory cycles and expansion exercises driven by innovation and secured in humanism.

The Ghana Corporate Brands Awards is a Maven Communications-organized annual awards program that serves as the premier platform for recognizing superior corporate branding.

Chief Executive Officer of Maven Communications, Seth Jojo Danso Asante, said this year’s event – created to celebrate the consistency and versatility of corporate brands – aims to amplify the crucial role technology plays in shaping and transforming the corporate landscape.

Award winners:

Among the winners were: Alpha Industries (TOP CHOCO) won the Confectionery Brand of the Year; Ameris Terminal Ltd, was adjudged Terminal and Marine Services Brand of the Year; Associated Consultant Ltd., Construction Designs Company Brand of the Year; AT- Innovation and Technological, Brand of the Year (Telecommunications); B5 PLUS, Steel Manufacturing Brand of the Year; and Delta Paper Mill Ltd. (Floral Tissues), Premium Tissue Paper Brand of the Year.

The state institutions are Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority (DVLA), Government Agency of the Year; Ghana Post Company Ltd., Courier Services Brand of the Year; and Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Healthcare Brand of the Year.

Others are: Endpoint Homeopathic Clinic, Healthcare Brand of the Year (Homeopathy); Enterprise Insurance (Eic) Ltd., General Insurance Brand of the Year; Geekrons Group of Enterprises, Fastest Growing Group of Enterprises; Hale Pharmacy Limited, Pharmacy Brand of the Year; Inlaks Ghana Limited, ICT Service Provider Brand of the Year; and Intelligent Card Production Systems, Intelligent Card Production Brand of the Year.

Mayfair Estates Limited was adjudged Real Estate Brand of the Year; MDS Laboratories Ghana Limited, Medical Diagnostics Brand of the Year; Medimafo Herbal Clinic, Herbal Brand of the Year; Moove Ghana, Vehicle Fintech Brand of the Year; Mediterranean Shipping Company Ghana Ltd. (MSC), Shipping Company Brand of the Year; Ponlok Manufacturing Ltd. Company, Aluminium Profile Manufacturing Company of the Year; and St. John’s Hospital & Fertility Centre, Fertility Hospital Brand of the Year

Adom City Estate Company Ltd. also won Affordable Housing Brand of the Year: Adom Group, Outstanding Corporate Group of the Year; Blow Group (Bel-Aqua), Manufacturing Brand of the Year (Water Products); Blow Group (Bel-Beverages), Manufacturing Brand of the Year (Non-Alcoholic Products); J.A. Plant Pool Gh Ltd., Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award; J.A. Plant Pool Gh Ltd., Outstanding New Automobile Brand of The Year (Jetour Vehicles); KGL Group, Outstanding Corporate Group (Technology); Oma Ghana Limited, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Award; Oma Ghana Limited, Ship Agency Brand of the Year; and Samartex Timber and Plywood Company Limited, Indigenous Brand of the Year

GB Foods Ghana won both the Fast Moving Consumer Goods Brand of the Year and Food Manufacturing Brand of the Year, with Samartex Timber and Plywood Company Limited winning Timber Export Brand of the Year. Starsight Energy Ghana Limited went home with the Renewable Energy Brand of the Year and Energy Service Provider Brand of the Year; and Zenith Bank Ghana Limited won Banking Brand of the Year

In the individual category, David Afflu (General Manager, GB Foods) won the Brand and Product Excellence Personality of the Year; Alex Appau Dadey (Executive Chairman, KGL Group), Corporate Icon of the Year; Henry Chinedu Onwuzurigbo (CEO-Zenith Bank Ghana Limited), Outstanding Private Sector Leadership Award (Finance); Edwin Provencal (Managing Director, Bost), Outstanding Public Sector Leadership Personality of the Year; Moses Kwesi Baiden Jnr (CEO-Margins ID Group), Outstanding CEO of the Year; and Ernest Owusu-Bempah Bonsu (Head-Corporate Communications, Ghana Gas Company Limited), Corporate Communications Personality of the Year.
