Ghana Football Awards 2024: Full Shortlist Of All Nominees

The 2023 reigning Footballer of the Year, Kudus Mohammed

The shortlist of candidates for each category for the Ghana Football Awards 2024 have been announced. Kudus Mohammed, Karim Zito, Victor Boniface and others are competing for top honours at this year’s ceremony.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Osu, Accra, a colorful ceremony marked the beginning of the event. With the culmination of the Ghanaian football season, this year will be its sixth edition.

In an interview, well-known broadcaster Karl Tufuoh, who is also the chairman of the awards board, said that the team had done a good job and that the awards night would be the best one they had ever put together.

“A lot of work has gone into the preparation of this year’s event. At the Board level, it is always fascinating to engage in the debate about which player deserves to be shortlisted. To the best of our abilities as a Board, we have selected sportsmen and women who we believe have excelled in the year under review. May the best candidates win,” he said at the launch.

Football Impact Africa organizes the Ghana Football Awards every year to recognize the remarkable accomplishments and contributions of Ghanaian football players, coaches, administrators, and other key stakeholders.

The event for this year is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, 2024, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center.

Black Stars Team Will Need Time To Adjust Playing With One Another – Otto Addo

After being named “The Ghana Footballer of the Year in 2023,” Kudus Mohammed will want to keep his title.

This year, he will be in competition with Black Stars fellows, Inaki William, Osman Bukari and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for the award.

Jennifer Kankam and Bridget Adu, two foreign-based players, will also compete with Comfort Yeboah and Ophelia Amponsah of Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Mukarama Abdulai of Hasaacas Ladies for the title of Women’s Football of the Year.
