In order to assess the progress of the Ghana Economic Transformation Project (GETP) and pinpoint possible new areas of cooperation, representatives from the Ghana Investment Promotion Center (GIPC) held talks with The World Bank Group.
The Center’s CEO, Mr. Simon Madjie, spoke to the World Bank Group team during the meeting and asked for their assistance in several areas, such as locating and charting investment prospects in every Ghanaian region.
The World Bank staff replied that they were committed to helping The Center. They also promised to get more involved in order to look into funding options for other projects that support The Center’s objective of encouraging investment.
Andres F. Garcia, Senior Economist and GETP Task Team Leader; Shane Sela, Senior Trade Facilitation Specialist; Elwyn Davies, Senior Economist; and Emmanuel Awuni, Private Sector Specialist, were among the members of the World Bank Group team.
