Ghana Wins U-15 Girls’ Championship After A Remarkable Display

In the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship final, which took place at the University of Ghana Stadium, Ghana’s U-15 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, defeated Uganda 2-1 to win the title.

Under the direction of head coach Joyce Boatey-Agyei, the Black Damsels displayed tenacity and skill despite the prospect of severe rains disrupting the final. They defeated the reigning champions, South Africa, 3-2 in the semi-finals on their way to the final.​

The players will take home $300,000 in cash as champions, and Uganda, the runners-up, will get $200,000.​

This triumph not only demonstrates the breadth of skill in Ghanaian youth football but also the nation’s dedication to producing the game’s future stars.​

Meanwhile, the 2025 CAF African Schools Football Championship was lost by their rival Ghana’s U-15 boys’ team. They defeated Uganda 2-1 to win a bronze medal in the third-place playoff game at the University of Ghana Stadium.
