Ghanaian-American Engineer And Inventor, Dr Owusu Mensah Has Died

Dr Thomas Owusu Mensah has passed. He was 74. The prestigious Ghanaian-American chemical engineer and inventor passed on 27 March 2024, after a short illness.

Dr Thomas Owusu Mensah who was born in Kumasi, was a significant contributor to the development of fiber optic manufacturing and nanotechnology.

He had 14 patents, and was inducted into the US National Academy of Inventors in 2015.

He was also a member of the Fellow National Academy of Inventors. President and CEO of Georgia Aerospace Systems.

In 2017, Mensah served as Editor-in-Chief of the textbook Nanotechnology Commercialization, published by John Wiley & Sons.
