Ghanaians Can Now Travel to Morocco Without Traditional Visas

Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita

Traditional visas are no longer required for Ghanaians to enter Morocco. Ghanaian nationals will no longer need to schedule in-person interviews or embassy meetings as of June 6, 2025, since they can now get a travel permit online in as little as 24 hours.

This comes after Morocco’s Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa inked a bilateral agreement during a two-day visit to Morocco.

Strengthening commerce, tourism, and cultural links between the two countries is the goal of the new policy. In order to accommodate the projected increase in traffic, more direct flights are also predicted between Ghana and Morocco.

This action is a part of a larger initiative to turn African borders into connectivity bridges in order to promote greater regional cooperation and integration.

On June 4, 2025, while Minister Ablakwa was in Morocco for two days, the agreement was signed.

All Appointments For US Visas Have Been Postponed

It is anticipated that the rapid internet system will improve trade, tourism, and cross-cultural interactions.

Both countries believe that by opening up borders, the action will strengthen intra-African unity.

There is no need for additional appointments or visa runs if you are planning a vacation; simply apply for the online authorization at least 24 hours before to departure.
