Ghana has recorded 559 new Coronavirus contaminations pushing the national count to 28,989 as of Tuesday, July 21, 2020.
The new cases were affirmed in 36 locales across eight regions. The country’s active cases remain at 3,505 with 18 percent of these cases being symptomatic.
Of the 18 percent who were symptomatic, 26 were in extreme conditions, eight in critical conditions, while four were on ventilators.
153 people have died from the infection. Ghana has so far conducted 353,752 tests since the first case was recorded on March 12.
These updates were given at a press instructions on Tuesday morning by the Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye.
