According to popular Asempa FM presenter Omanhene Kwabena Asante, President John Dramani Mahama is still the “hope of Ghana” at this moment.
The seasoned journalist emphasized Mahama’s performance throughout this brief term in office, especially in relation to the cedi’s relative stability versus the US dollar and other revolutionary policies implemented during this time. He made these remarks on “Ekosii Sen” on Asempa FM on Tuesday, May 20th whilst discussing economic issues with host Osei Bonsu (OB).
According to Kwabena Asante’s earlier remarks on the same broadcast, President Mahama appears to be Ghanaians’ only hope because, practically every succeeding government has failed the country.
He also commended President Mahama for his current success, but begged him to caution some of his ministers who are already displaying indications of arrogance even though he has warned them against such behavior.

Asante’s opinions are in line with some Ghanaians who believe Mahama is a capable leader who can solve the country’s economic problems.
