Ghana’s Deputy Finance Minister Has Passed On

John Kumah, the deputy Minister of Finance, is reported dead.

As per the report, a source very close to the family affirmed the death of the Deputy Finance Minister, who is also the Member Of Parliament for Ejisu, in the Ashanti region.

The cause for the minister’s passing isn’t known as at now, however sources say he was unwell.

The 45 year-old Deputy Minister was one of the exceptional and rising figures in the ruling New Party Party (NPP) and was touted by certain groups in the party as a potential running mate to the flagbearer of the party, VP Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Mr Kumah recently won the party’s parliamentary primaries in his consistency predominantly to represent it in the impending general elections in December 2024.

John Kumah was a diligent individual, a business visionary, preacher and a legal counselor.

He filled in as the CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) before he entered parliament in 2020.

He left behind a spouse, Apostle Mrs Lilian Kumah, and 6 children.
