Rose Yeboah has won Ghana’s first gold decoration at the ongoing African Senior Athletics Championship in Mauritius, clearing the bar at 1.79m to win the women’s high jump.
Rose beat rivals– Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina and Yvonne Robson of South Africa to secure the gold award in Mauritius.
The University of Cape Coast student also won gold at the African Games in Rabat in 2019, and this is his second major accomplishment for his country.

The 21-year-old holds the Ghana University Sports Association Games record with 1.85m. According to Rose, she’s ready to win more decorations for her and above all her country, therefore, this is one more milestone for her going forward.
